Heart of Pôle muséal
Annual closing on December 25 and January 1. On December 24 and 31, the sites will close at 4 p.m.
The Artothèque is the main location for the conservation of Mons heritage, serving as a setting for works of art and for activities revolving around them.
Artothèque is a centre for archiving, researching, restoring and studying this heritage, by keeping safe within its walls the collections that will not be permanently exhibited at any of the other museum sites. In addition to its conservation role, the Artothèque play an important role in the promotion of Mons heritage, not only by making it accessible virtually, but also by lifting part of the veil on the more "hidden" work of the museums.
This project is jointly funded by Europe, by the Public Service of Wallonia (DGO4 – Heritage) and by the French Community of Belgium.
